hmmm my first character was a warrior because i used to play runescape and i thought warriors were realy cool, his name was poop fliga (lol dont ask) and i used to ask lvl 20's to help me farm the little lvl 4 things outside ascalon city because i thought it was cool. so i got to lvl 7 and it just got hard for me to lvl up so i gave up and started obssessing over a fiery dragon sword and how expensive they were x). I finally got one and decided to make a ranger lol. so i then got better at GW and decided to delete that character and make a new warrior who ended up beating prohecies.
so thats pretty much it

Hey, im going to tell you about my warrior. Ironically, this month is his 3rd birthday :P
Anyways. I started off by making him W/R because i wanted to run people and saw that ranger had lots of running skills. When i made him and chose his hairstyle, i chose the long hair with the weird crown... Lets just say he keeps his helmet on at all times now. By level 8 i was running people from ascalon to yaks bend. Despite people saying "WTF LEVEL 8!?" I did plenty of runs and died very rarely. I even offered my service free if i died to get people to let me run them. I didn't make much out of doing it but its something i loved doing and 700g was a lot of money to a noob warrior lol.
I eventually moved up to droks running where i met one of my best friends in the game. We would dual run droks every day. We kinda turned it into a competition to see who could get to each zone quickest. I swore that going through the troll cave was faster, we both knew it wasn't but theres nothing better than getting body blocked by 30 cave trolls and taking 0 damage. This was when warriors were like perma sins though.
After he stopped playing, a few of my real life friends decided to set up a Guild. It was terrible. With my mending, vigorous spirit and frenzy my warrior was set up for GvG! None of us had any experience in PvP and we lost many battles. I remember the first win we had. It was against a french guild with a level 13 and henchmen.. That didn't matter though, we all still celabrated on vent like a bunch of girls in a mall.
Playing guild wars together was kind of the new age making a soap box racer or whatever with your friends.. Yea how times change lol. We would talk about our guild strategies all day at school. It made a good friendship between us all.
Sadly with time the guild disbanded. As with most people, my friends list became short. The last one stopped playing about a year ago. Every one had moved on from either playing a new game or seeing the outside world lol. 6 Months ago i stumbled across my current guild, which has to be the ONE reason I still play today. I dont play as much as i did back then, but i wont forget the "good old days" of guild wars.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share this story lol
Merry Christmas!
God bless LOD!

My first character is still my favorite character.
He is a handsome Assassin, and he has swung across the countries of Tyria.
When I first started my GW, and created the guy I thought he was kinda lame,
but later on even the ladies cried: "Oh beautiful Shiro! Ask me my hand!"
Even you dear Frazzy has played with him!
If you remember the o-so troublesome Canthan Vanquishes, we did some together!
The name Shiro Hayate was just a thought that came up my mind.
Shiro was the bad-ass in Cantha, the country where I was born, and also
Hayate was my favorite ninja of all! Hayate was like, if you think of a ninja, you think of Hayate! So it had to be, Shiro Hayate.
Now after quite some months of play, one of my best friends in GW is considering to name his baby Shiro :O
I am honored.
TY Frazz.

My first character was an ele I still play with it very often . I created here 2.5 years ago on my own birthday ^^ I couldn't think of a good name so I called here Mali Yali ^^ I played with here for a longwhile and made some extra chars but stayed playing with Mali. I continued to play and maxed some titles with here love playing things no other people play so she went from broad head arrow ele to dragon slash ele.
I finished all campains with here and still enjoy playing Crossed most of Cantha because she was created there.
I started playing with many in real life friends I am the only one still playing guild wars tough. I finished Cantha with 1 of my friends but did the rest myself as they never bought other games. I ran people for a while trough cantha and made some money to get my first armor, Elite Luxon. I still have it and I love it
I stopped playing for like 5 months and then came back to play again I made some new money as I gave away my old money to IG friends.

I still have my first character which is a ranger by the name of Jono Mozza. The name was just some nicknames I had really. I got all anticipated for the game and then when i got it I didnt have a clue what to put as the name ><. I went all over with him, as a weird dagger trapper which i thought was awesome at the time. Laying down traps then whipping out a non-max pair of white daggers for the close combat xD i cant forget the tiger I had either. Also loved getting it out.
I dunno, the things I thought of the game. It was completely different to how I envisaged it. the most memorable moment though was getting a dragon mask at the first dragon festival. I'd only had the game a few weeks and it took a while for me to gather all the jade orbs. I hoped the mask wouldnt be a let down, and you know what? Its still my favourite to this date. Nostalgia FTW I guess, eh?
Now the character is just parked around cantha, looking after all those minipets
Merry christmas and good luck to all.

My first character and still my main title char, Argeris of Melmat, was created in Jan. 07. I started with NF after a friend of mine had been touting this "killer game" he'd been playing for about a year to that point. When I first created the character I had the old feeling come back that reminded me of when I would first roll a new D&D char, the old school way with three 6-sided dice and assigning attribute points to charisma, strength, wisdom, etc. It was such a cool feeling to have again and I knew I would love the game which I still do. Although I've rage-quit twice since (after failed attemps at Survivor by actually playing through the game - once at 550k exp, and again at 400k exp!!) I managed to have the foresight not to delete my main character. Since trying all other professions, including a 6-month stint as a monk, I've come back to my original Ranger, Argeris of Melmat, who is sitting at 15 maxed titles, with 44 elite skills, 24 vanq areas, and 18% more of tyria to map for 21 titles!
Thanks for putting on the contest, good luck to all, and hopefully the circle will come back 'round to you...good Karma anyway!

My first character was a warrior. I created him over 2 years ago when several of my rl friends started playing the game. I was the type of player that had to do every quest in an area before moving on to the next area, as I didnt want to miss out on anything. After a month or so of running around in pre, I moved my warrior over to post. It was then that I created a guild with my friends. It was a week or so into post that i first saw obsidian armor, and hoped one day that I'd get it. Well, after going through the 3 campaigns and alot of farming along the way I was finally able to buy the armor. After reaching that goal, I began to work on getting GWAMM. Along side getting titles I've helped my guildies, alliance mates and newer players work on titles or anything else they need help with. My first character is still around to this day and is my most played character.
Good Luck and Merry Christmas to all.

Leviathans Guardian
Leviathans Guardian was my very first character. I had just gotten off a Final Fantasy kick when I first started playing Guild Wars, so I loved the name (still do). I've had him for a little over 2 years now and I still play him.
He is a warrior, because I remember when I was making my first character ever that warriors just looked cool and since they're big and tough I could do anything with them. Lol, it's weird to think about those days. I remember that I started playing about 2 months before Halloween, so by the time I got to post-sear (yea, it took forever the first time) I begged someone in my guild to run me to LA so I could find out what everyone was talking about. Halloween is still my favorite GW holiday because of that.
I also remember begging for red dyes for my LA Wyvern armor right before Wintersday, so I would look Christmasy and my cape won the design contest for my guild so I got 10k! I freaked out about having 10k, lol. Also, for Wintersday, I remember running people to LA from Ascalon for free (to repay what happened to me) and I even ended up doing a lot of farming and things like that with some of those guys. Now, some of them are in a guild with me still and we still farm, do dungeons, and pvp together.
I still love Leviathans Guardian, even though I don't play him as much. He has several sets of elite armor and some decent weapons, so he's not too bad off. But thinking about the good ole days when I had no idea what I was doing make me want to play with him all over again. He needs some TLC from me again....maybe, I'll work on getting him some titles for Wintersday.
Anyway, I know this is probably too long, but thanks for the opportunity to look back on those fun times and I hope you have a great Christmas and a great Wintersday!
(Oh, and if anyone's interested, ask me about Leviathan being given a guild with a full hall some day. Only 3 weeks into the game.....I had no idea what I was doing, lol.)

Back during the BWE's I remember the first character I created was an Elementalist. I still remember him till this day. I never made it past Ascalon with him, but I remember chilling out with friends around the huge bonn fire that existed before the town got a huge facelift. When the BWE's ended he was lost forever never to be created again. I still remember the face and hair combo I used. I could recreate him, but I feel it's best to keep good memories in the past where they belong.

First char is the reason I bought guild wars. I saw a picture of female ranger on the box and I was drawn to it and when I did buy GW, I made a (male) ranger in presearing. It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of play style and it was my first real PC game I ever played (was looking for a PC game after I bought a PC that could play games; before that all graphics cards were too slow to ever play any games).
I had the melandru's stalker forever until I finished factions and finally traded it in for a pheonix. Funny thing is my R/W was using axe skills a lot more originally until I realized what skills are. Endure Pain on ranger FTW.

My first character was a dervish named Akio the reaper and the next day i had my first paragon since i recieved nightfall when it first came out. I later gotten factions et. I started my derv out to some sadness and then focusing on my paragon which i grew to love because of the heros i had and i felt lik a commander sadly i started to relize paragons (a few months after nightfalls release) couldnt do much. I decided to go back on my derv and see how it would feel to be one. I (in a few weeks) relized its 1. hard to find a party that accepts you because people at the time thought wars were better and 2. hardly had any build conception. Like any player in the begining you dont go for accomplishment you go for fun. It had taken me 4 months to beat nightfall because my heros were usuless from pratically no skills unlocked and people didnt like my builds. As new builds came i saw no BUFFING of dervish skills and thought to myself why should i even keep him? i almost deleted my dervish but relized to keep him and just to see how everything whould play out. Time went on and slowly i grew on my derv because of casting and melee capabilities. In one year i had a derv with a full primevil and a suntouched scythe. soon I had delted my other characters and decided that the derv was my main. Now i have 4 elite sets of armor, a tormented scythe, deldrimor and destroyer scythe. r3 KoAbD completed all of cantha and elona (titles wise) and other achievements. I ran a full dervish Fow clear and i understand all posibilities of a dervish that others may say that (dervishes) cannot do.

My first CHAR
First, nice to see ppl like you giving away stuffs.
So my first char, she is a ranger, and she is still alive.
I got Nightfall for my Nameday, i was very happy. My classmate told me GW is a very good game. I started a ranger first, im love with Bows, i got one too...back to the ranger. When i started it i found myself in Chahbek Village. I saw somebody with a cape so i asked him who can i get one. He told me soething about capes, but i didnt understand it, and then i got an invitation to the guild. I was happy...I started lvling up and learning the game, it was fun going with a ranger. My first elite skill was Barrage, and sure, i got love with it too, the best elite ever made for ranger (this is my oppinion). I added the Faction - Prop 14hour key, and got splinter weapon. Another love again. Splinter Weapin + Barrage, that was pwning everything (before the nerf ). Then i saw my dream armor, that was a Ranger Female Primeval Armor dyed BLACK. And so, love again :P I asked how much does it cost, and the owned said, 150k about, and then i was WTF OMG i can never get it. I played nightfall and finally i killed Abaddon. MUHAHAHA I killed him 3x. First i killed him, and got to the "outpost".. and AHHH i stucked and cannot finnish NF -.- Second i killed him again and i DIDNT STUCK. I was very happy. The third was when i BOUGHT MY PRIMEVAL ARMOR, my dream armor as i said. The dream bow was when EON came and, Silverwing Recurve Bow, ofcourse, the best bow. I got it too and it was all i wanted...
THE END
thanks for reading :P

My first Guild Wars character was a dervish. His name was King Swift.
Short version:
-Thought Guild Wars was a game for nerds.
-Tried playing it and got hooked because I loved the Wintersday festival.
-Took me 3 months to get off istan and get level 20
-23 months and 3000hours of playing total...basically mastered the game. (still on first character)
-Now I play just to help people through the game so that they don't spend 3 months on istan.
-Strongly believe that Guild Wars is NOT a game for nerds and geeks anymore.
-The game becomes a lot more fun when you play with noobs. It brings you back to the days when you once were one.
I used to think that Guild Wars was a game for nerds and geeks, but after getting it for Christmas from Santa in 2006, I decided to give it a try. It was guild wars nightfall and I randomly selected a character profession and gave him the most catchy name I could think of at the time. So there I was, looking at the screen like what the **** is going on in this game. I finally reached level 20 on King Swift 3 months later and finally got off the island of istan. I wish I could go back to being a noob so much. It was a ton of fun learning the mechanics of the game. So here I am almost 2 years later and I have almost mastered the game still playing on my first character. Now all I do is help out noobs and it is the most fun I have ever had in a game. I can say that Guild Wars is a game for anyone, not just nerds and geeks.

Well, my first, also my favorite character, would be Vanaar. Mid-range height ranger started in Pre. Stayed there until about lvl 13, wanted to kill something other than charr and skale Went into post and then followed through the story lines on each game. Played gimmick builds, touch ranger mostly. Now sticking with Splinter and BHA epi to get my Guardian title.

I suppose Ill write a short first person story for mine... My first Character was a tiny male Assassin named Little Hobbit Guy.
Rath was an Assassin, dark and deadly. Yet, there was one thing odd about him. He was only about four feet tall. His minute size had earned him the nickname The Little Hobbit. He left home when he was only twelve years old. He hadn't been adventuring more than a few days when he came to an intersection. There was a traveler standing by one path. the an was thin, almost skeletal, and tall. He spoke in a dead voice, "Hello, Little One." Hobbit replied, "Hello, Elder, what brings you to these lands?". "I'm looking for....Volunteers..." said the man. "For what?" asked Hobbit. "To learn the Art of the Assassin, small one." replied the man. When he said assassin, Hobbit felt something. Like some sleeping dragon in his chest had awoken. "I feel like I might take you up on that.." he said. the man stepped torwards him. "Feel this then..little one.." the man touched his forehead. Hobbit felt woozy..his vision blurred in and out.. Finally, he blacked out.
When Hobbit awakened, his hands hurt horribly. there were marks etched into them..still seeping blood. He then realized the old man was gone. He gasped for a moment. He had once heard his father telling of such an event happening to a man. Hobbit then knew, he had just been touched by Grenth himself.
And so he became, an Assassin.
After this, Hobbit made his way into the Echovald Forest where he trained in the deadly arts. He forged strong reputation with The Kurzick people here. He started as a foot soldier at Fort Aspenwood. After awhile he was promoted to fight over territories in battles with the Luxons. It was here he met a certain Lady. He couldn't really tell how it happened, but he was just drawn to talk to her. It wasn't a deadly urge, more of a call to service. Whatever it was, he was about to change his life. He spoke to her, and learned she was the leader of a powerful Kurzick Alliance, The Midnight Moons. The dragon in his chest roared again. He felt a compulsive urge to join this guild. He asked, and the Lady welcomed him. And so the Little Hobbit donned the cape of the Midnight Moons. He soon became an officer in set guild, much to his delight. Many friends he made across many lands..and he lives a good life still today.
Thank you for your generosity to the denizens of Tyria, sir.
Good Luck to all and have a Very Chilly Wintersday!

My first character was by the name of Le Grass, a warrior.
I obviously went with the very powerful W/N combo because the abillity to raise minions seemed awesome but the hardhitting warrior was just too hard to pass up. As I was adventuring through post, I met a kind stranger, who helped me in every way possible. He gave me money to buy my first armor set (the one in ascalon), he helped me avoid scammers and taught me how to play. After a couple of weeks with his aid, my warrior was level 20 and I thought I was on top of the world, of course, I was majorly in debt to this man, but he would take no compensation whatsoever. Then one day, as I was venturing through Unwaking Waters, this man comes on, and tells me that he had a benign tumor in his brain and was causing health issues, so he needed surgery and would have to be gone for a couple of weeks. I felt so bad for this friend that I got my W/Rt VWK build and farmed my rear end off for hours on end, just for him. By the time he got back, I gave him the materials to buy Fissure armor in attempt to cheer him up. It did, and I felt great. We still play together and he still has the armor.
A little bit of background on my warrior.
